Casey Cote takes housekeeping helm at NMMC

FORT KENT, Maine — Joey Bard, director of facilities at Northern Maine Medical Center, has announced the hire of Casey Cote to oversee housekeeping operations.

Cote will be responsible for supervising the work activities at NMMC and at Forest Hill. As part of the leadership team, she will also be responsible for regulatory requirements and managing a budget.

Cote held positions in other parts of Aroostook County prior to joining NMMC’s leadership team. She served as the town manager for Frenchville and more recently was employed as agriculture and natural resources instructor at Caribou Regional Technology Center, as well as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maine at Presque Isle in their sustainable agriculture program.

She holds a master’s degree in education from the University of Southern Maine and she is also a master gardener. She said she was interested in this new role because, “I enjoy positions where I have an impact and enjoy working in a team environment. I enjoy contributing to the team effort, bringing out the best in myself and in my staff for fulfilling goals and reaching top results.”

Outside of work, Cote keeps busy with a market garden, where she sells locally grown vegetables and cut flowers. Other hobbies include painting and raising a small backyard flock of chickens. She resides in Frenchville with her husband and their son and daughter, and together they enjoy camping, boating and snowmobiling.
