Valley Voices

ST. JOHN VALLEY – The St. John Valley Times and the Fiddlehead Focus teams have been working together for the past few months to help bring local news to the St. John Valley. We recently asked some St. John Valley residents: “What kind of news do you like to read in the newspaper?”

Paula Bouchard of Fort Kent: “I like the pictures. If the picture and headline are interesting, I’ll read the article. And, I always start at the end of the newspaper.”

Seth Hubbard of Fort Kent: “I end up reading the local, political stuff; but I like to read about local events.”

Damion Rankine of Jamaica and Fort Kent: “I liked to read about sports. I like soccer, baseball and hoops. I am a soccer player.”

Don Sirois of Madawaska: “My local news. I work at the mill and I truck, so I miss out on a lot of news. I want the news from around here.”

Valley Voices is a regular feature of the St. John Valley Times and now the Fiddlehead Focus. Keep your eyes peeled for one of our journalists, because you never know when they may roll into your town to give you a chance to share your Valley Voice.
