FORT KENT, Maine – The first time Maine Winter Sports Center (MWSC) athlete Brian Halligan, who is originally from New York, tasted a “mix” or “poutine,” a popular St. John Valley dish of french fries topped with cheese and gravy, also happened to be the day he and fellow MWSC athlete Cody Johnson sat down with Fiddlehead Focus at Rock's Diner in Fort Kent to discuss their recent trip to Chiele Gradistei, Romania - where they competed in the 2016 Biathlon Youth/Junior World Championships.

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick - (Update: Organizer Alain Sirois confirmed on Monday morning, February 8, that 46 participating venues at ski hills across Canada completed 9,886 visible snow angels on Saturday. It was not enough to beat the current record of 15,851, he said.)

One hundred and sixty-six people at Mont Farlagne Outdoor Center took part in a nationwide attempt Saturday, February 6, to beat the Guinness World Record of the most snow angels at one time.
