SINCLAIR – The sun may have been out in force Sunday, May 3, but Long Lake was far from warm when 30 civic-minded souls bravely plunged into icy waters along the shore at the Long Lake Sporting Club for the 4th annual Aroostook County Polar Dip, an event sponsored by the Knights of Columbus to raise funds for Special Olympics in Aroostook County.

All the kids have to do is read books.

AROOSTOOK COUNTY – The TAMC Total Health Team, the City of Presque Isle, Healthy Main Street initiative of the Presque Isle Downtown Revitalization Committee, and the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce are collaborating to help area residents and business people improve their health and well being by offering a free, community-wide Couch to 5K running and walking program set to launch Monday, May 11.
