UMFK Bengals run past Roos

FORT KENT - Senior Manny Odugbela scored a game-high 19 points and handed out seven assists to help lead UMFK over SUNY Canton 80-63 in a USCAA men's basketball game in Fort Kent, Saturday Jan. 21.

Pablo Llamas added eight points, eight boards and shared a game-high in assists with Odugbela dishing out seven. Forward Jan Brylowski and guard Jorge Matesanz added 11 points each for the Bengals who improved to 13-6 and have now won nine of their last ten. UMFK put together an impressive first half defensive performance holding the Roos (8-6) to just six points fifteen minutes into the game. The Bengals built a 48-16 lead by the break and then weathered a late SUNY Canton run to get the victory.

The Bengals had 17 assists and just 15 turnovers and out-rebounded the Roos 37-25 on the day.
