MILC and OREOs for Madawaska

MADAWASKA- The Madawaska Economic and Community Development Advisory Board is hosting a forum on Wednesday, May 23 at the Madawaska High School Library.  


The event begins with a social hour between 5:30 – 6 p.m. with a brief meeting starting at 6 p.m. to discuss the new formation of MILC and OREOs, Madawaska Improvement Leadership Committee, Organizing, Retired Employer(ees) Outreach.

Madawaska native Tom Kent will lead the forum by discussing Madawaska’s positive and negative attributes and the challenges the town faces today as a result of the economic times. Meeting leaders will present a brief video/power point on behalf of the Maine Downtown Foundation, courtesy of Roxanne Efflin. Woodard and Curran’s Chief Learning Officer Brent Bridges will discuss motivation and leadership strategies that the town can effectively use to motivate and revitalize its existing businesses.

This forum is for anyone interested in revitalization of the Madawaska downtown, business owners, retirees, non-profits, and high school students.
