Disagreement about a boy ends with property damage, charges

FORT KENT – On May 24, the Maine State Police Department charged April Hafford of Allagash with Operating a motor vehicle while Under the Influence (OUI) and with criminal mischief.

After a disagreement about a boy with 21-year-old Nicole Hebert of St. Francis at about 1 a.m. at Hebert’s residence in St. Francis, Hafford drove her Nissan pickup into Hebert’s 2000-2002 Ford Focus while the vehicle was parked in the driveway at Hebert’s residence, said Maine State Trooper Dan Marquis. The 27-year-old woman then left the scene, and returned at approximately 3 a.m. with her 1999 Nissan Altima, which she then drove into Hebert’s parked car again.

Marquis received a call to respond to the incident at approximately 3:15 a.m., he said. Hafford was released on bail under her own recognizance, under conditions.

Nicole is 20, not 21.. Whom also had been drinking earlier that night. Which should change this picture a little bit. Possession of alcohol by a minor, maybe? Yeah... And no April does NOT need anger management. Maybe if a certain phone call wasn't made, this would NEVER have happened. And if you knew April personally, you'd think different. So leave your 2 cents out. Thanks!

At 1:00 a.m. why was this mother of two small children out and about operating a motor vehicle while under the influence? April couldn't possibly leave well enough alone, she drove her pickup into a woman's car as it was parked in the driveway at the woman's residence. Apparently she didn't feel she did enough damage the first time, so she waited two hours and returned to the same residence with a second vehicle and proceeded to do more damage to this woman's car. April is beyond anger management, she needs to be psychologically evaluated. Someone commented on Ms. Heberts age as whether she is 20 or 21 and claims she had been drinking. Hopefully, for the sake of April's mother, Ms. Hebert wasn't consuming alcohol at "The Shack" that would certainly be a double whammy for sure! I believe a full account, along with a copy of Officer Marquis' report, should get sent to The Department of Human Services. April is not being a responsible adult, her having two small children and not being any more responsibile than that, those two little girls need a better environment than they currently have.

yaaabudddy is right. April does NOT need anger management. She needs far more than that! And TiesToTheGash says it all. What about her girls????????? They are very clearly not at the top of her list of priorities!!!
