NORTH CAROLINA - Klixel8, a Maine company, was to be the primary sponsor for Fort Kent native Austin Theriault’s No. 2 truck during the North Carolina Education Lottery 200 from the Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday, May 21; however, Theriault did not compete in the race because qualifying was rained out Friday and the Klixel8 Ford truck he was driving for Brad Keselowski Racing had not been in enough Truck Series starts to gain a position Saturday.

FORT KENT / St. Agatha, Maine - The Warriors’ nine-run second inning against the Wisdom Pioneers, Thursday, May 19, carried the girls’ softball team to their first win of the season, 11-9. The Fort Kent boys defeated Wisdom, 11-1.
Macey Thibodeau drove in two runs with two base hits to lead the way for Fort Kent.

MADAWASKA, Maine - The visiting Ashland Hornets struck early Wednesday, May 18, on the high school baseball diamond against the Madawaska Owls, winning 29-2; but the Lady Owls answered back, winning their softball game 12-11.

VAN BUREN, Maine - Van Buren middle school Crusaders may have exceeded expectations, Wednesday, May 11, when they came within one run of tying the home team Madawaska Owls. Afterall, this is the the first season playing baseball for many of the Van Buren players, and the first time the school has fielded a team in five years.

PRESQUE ISLE / Fort Kent, Maine - Student athletes on the Valley Rivers Middle School track and field team competed in their second meet of the season in Presque Isle on Thursday, May 12. Many of the 39 athletes worked their way into top ten finishes at the meet.
