Maliseet First Nation donates to university

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — The Madawaska Maliseet First Nation recently donated $25,000 to the Evolution campaign of the University of Moncton.

This contribution will enable the Madawaska Maliseet First Nation to bestow scholarships that bear its name, which will be redistributed to students and single-parent students from the Edmundston area attending the Edmundston campus.

The objectives of the University of Moncton and Maliseet First Nation are the same: the pursuit of excellence by focusing on access to post-secondary education of the highest quality. Both partners maintain a very good relationship and that gift is the proof of this beautiful fraternity.
