AUGUSTA, Maine — State representatives for the St. John Valley have been named to several of the Legislature’s policy committees during the upcoming session.

  • Rep. John Martin, D-Eagle Lake, will serve on the Appropriations and Financial Affairs Committee, Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and Joint Select Committee on Joint Rules.
  • Rep. Roland “Danny” Martin, D-Sinclair, will serve as House chair of the State and Local Government Committee and as a member of the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee.
  • Rep. Dave McCrea, D-Fort Fairfield, has been reappointed to the Education and Cultural Affairs Committee and will also serve on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee.

“I’m looking forward to serving on the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee,” said McCrea. “This committee oversees issues vital to Aroostook County, and, as the only member from the County on the committee, it’s important that our voices are heard as we consider new bills and changes to current law.
