Olivier-Luc Haché joins the Blizzard

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick — On the deadline for player movements in the Maritime Junior A Hockey League, the Edmundston Blizzard has announced that 18-year old forward Olivier-Luc Haché has been released from the QMJHL Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, and will be in Blizzard’s uniform tonight in Lunenburg and for the rest of the season.

Haché, who can play center or left wing, is a 5’11’’ and 173 lbs player from Savoie Landing, a community located near Shippagan and Lamèque, New Brunswick.

The Blizzard made Haché his third choice (34th overall) in the midget age draft at the 2017 MHL draft in Miramichi.

Olivier-Luc Haché has spent the last two seasons with the Huskies. He took part in 21 games in his rookie season last year collecting two assists. This season he tallied two goals and three assists in 22 games. Olivier-Luc was selected in the 13th round (226th overall) by the Huskies in the QMJHL draft in 2016.

The Blizzard is currently in Nova Scotia playing a series of three games. Tonight, Edmundston is facing the South Shore Lumberjacks in Lunenburg, tomorrow the Yarmouth Mariners, and Saturday the Valley Wildcats in Berwick.
