St. John Valley Artists hold annual Christmas exhibit

MADAWASKA, Maine — The St. John Valley Artists will hold their 4th annual Christmas Harvest art exhibit Friday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the St. John Valley Chamber of Commerce office.

The group boasts amateur and professional artists from both sides of the border who “all enjoy painting,” according to member Gerald Fongemie.

The St. John Valley Chamber of Commerce office has been a central location for the artists to showcase their work.

“For some people, the chamber is the only place that people can show off their paintings,” Fongemie said.

Around 10 members of the St. John Valley Artists will feature their artwork with some paintings for sale in time for the holidays.

Among the offerings “there will be a wall dedicated to winter paintings that are $40 or less,” Fongemie said. “Just something different to bring Christmas cheer.”

The event is free to the public and refreshments will be served.
