Police seek information about shots fired near Fort Kent residence

FORT KENT, Maine — Police are seeking information from the public about gunshots fired early Thursday morning near a Fort Kent residence.
The Fort Kent Police Department received a call at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Thursday from a homeowner who heard shots fired near a home at 927 North Perley Brook Road. Police are not speculating whether the incident had anything to do with Halloween being marked the night before.
Police reviewed video surveillance available in the area and determined that a moving vehicle fired multiple shots into a field adjacent to the home, according to Chief Tom Pelletier.
Nobody was injured as a result of the shooting.
Pelletier said the department is releasing little information about the specifics of the shooting at this time, but asks that anyone with information contact the Fort Kent Police Department at (207) 834-5678.
