Randall (Randy) Anderson

VAN BUREN, Maine – Randall (Randy) Anderson, age 71, died September 11, 2018, at his home after a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and COPD.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Marie-Paule (Poitras), and two children, Renée and Louise. He also leaves behind his sister, Marilyn Benson (Rev. Curtis Benson); his nephews, David Bayro, Michael Anderson (Anne), and Alain Desjardins (Katherine); nieces, Michelle Beck (Stewart), Carrie Carter (David), and Angelique Geyer (Wes); and many other family members across the United States and Canada.
Randy served four years in the Air Force where his passion for firefighting began. He was Assistant Fire Chief at Loring Air Force Base, Fire Chief at the US Navy Facility in Cutler, Maine, and retired after years of service as Fire Chief of the Van Buren Fire Department.
Randy’s wake was held at the Van Buren Fire Department on Saturday, September 15, 2018, and his funeral was held the same day, at the St. Leonard Catholic Church in St Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada. He will be buried at the Notre Dame de Lourdes Church Cemetery, in Canada. Randy and Marie-Paule, were married, 47 years ago, at The Notre Dame de Lourdes Church.
