Caroline J. Ouellette

VAN BUREN, Maine – Caroline J. Ouellette, 78, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 27, 2018, following several years of declining health. She was born June 11, 1940, in Van Buren, a daughter of the late Aldonat and Marie Jeanne (Doucette) Violette.
Caroline worked as a hairdresser and cosmetologist for many years for area residents and Borderview Rehab and Nursing patients, where she also volunteered for resident activities. She was a former member of the Red Hat Ladies. She enjoyed tending to her gardens and especially enjoyed traveling, making many visits to Myrtle Beach, Quebec and New Brunswick. Overall, Caroline prided herself a mother and grandmother and loved to shower her loved ones with joy.
She is survived by three children, Donna Ouellette and her husband, Ron of Van Buren, Mark Ouellette and his wife, Wanda of Sanford, and Robbie Ouellette and his wife, Michelle of Greene; one brother, Larry Violette of Caribou; six grandchildren, Wesley, Brandon, Erica, Jennifer, Riley and Mattie; one great-granddaughter, Ezryn; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Caroline was predeceased by her first husband, Ronald R. Ouellette; her second husband, Robert P. Ouellette; and a brother, Cary Violette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Tuesday 6-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
