KIMBERLY P. ROCKHOLD, VAN BUREN – Kimberly P. Rockhold, 47, died peacefully Saturday, September 22, 2018, with her companion and son at her side, following a long battle with kidney failure. She was born August 17, 1971, in Connecticut, a daughter of Pauline (Perreault) Ouellet and the late Donald Ouellet, and was raised in Van Buren.
Kim, with her fiancé, was proprietor of Bottomz Up Bar & Grill and Dan’s Redemption Center, Van Buren, for over 14 years. During that time, she loved to entertain her patrons and many friends that stopped in with live entertainment and witty conversation.
Kim was a member of the Van Buren and Grand Isle ATV Clubs and loved to participate in their hot dog roasts and group trail rides.
She is survived by her son, Dan Rockhold of Van Buren; her 27-year, devoted fiancé, Daniel Desjardins of Van Buren; her mother of Madawaska; two brothers, Alex Sabastien (Norman Ouellet) and his wife, Jackie Ouellet; and Joseph Ouellet Jr. and his companion, Kathy Banks; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, Kim was predeceased by a brother, Thomas J. Ouellet; and her first husband, Dean Rockhold.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 28, 2018, at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church, Van Buren. Relatives and friends may greet the family Thursday 5-8:00 p.m. and Friday morning 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Lajoie Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. Burial will be in Grand River Cemetery, Van Buren.
