St. John Valley weather for Sept. 26 to Oct. 2

Low pressure will track from the Great Lakes into Quebec and pass to the northwest pulling a cold front across the Valley Wednesday evening. There is a slight chance for afternoon/evening thunderstorms, including some isolated severe storms along and ahead of the cold front. Rainfall is expected to taper off Wednesday evening after frontal passage, with skies clearing overnight into Thursday as a new ridge of high pressure builds into the SJV.

Friday will see partly cloudy skies giving way to increased cloudiness Friday evening as a weak cold front approaches. Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny with a chance for showers as a pair of weak cold fronts moves across. High pressure builds in Monday with increasing clouds Monday night and a chance for showers Tuesday as a frontal system lifts across the region from the Great Lakes.
