Esther H. Pinette

WALLAGRASS, Maine – Esther H. Pinette, 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Wallagrass, surrounded by her family on August 19th, 2018. Esther was born on August 4th, 1948, the daughter of the late Edwin and Zelma (York) Mclellan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Donald N. Pinette of 52 years, married on October 30th, 1965. A true love story, that started in a potato house, when Esther threw french fries at Donald. After, Don said he was going to Connecticut, Esther’s reply was, “I’ll go with you.” So they left, and that’s where it all started. Many loves, including their three pooches. Chicky, Gypsy. and Mr. Poe.
Esther loved spending time at the lake, Disney, she enjoyed everything scary, and Stephen King was her favorite. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, cooking for family and friends, and most importantly spending time with her family. Esther is survived by her husband, Donald Pinette; as well as her three daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Nelson Mendez Jr. of Bristol, Connecticut, Emily and Daniel Lacasse of Leominster, Massachusetts, and Lisa Pinette of Wallagrass; her grandchildren, Reva Leigh Pinette and her companion, Steve Mendez, Jason, Justin, Makayla, Allyson Fetzer, Macallan, Lincoln Lacasse, Nicole, and Katelyn Mendez; and her great-grandson, SJ; her Goddaughters, Carrie and Darcie; and several nieces and nephews; as well as her brothers and sisters-in-laws, Jimmy and his wife, Vie Mclellan, Junior and his wife, Jeannie Mclellan, Andrew and his wife, Denise Mclellan, all of Presque Isle, and Pearl Grant of Pittsfield, Massachusetts, Linda and Conrad Chasse of Plainville, Connecticut, Terry and Gil Theriault of Bristol, Connecticut, Judy Wojciechowski of Bristol, Connecticut, and Jenny Pinette of Bristol, Connecticut. She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Belanger, Harriet Hafford, and Brenda Wesley, as well as her parents, Edwin and Zelma; her brother-in-law, Darrell Pinette, as well as her in-laws, Angeline and Romeo Pinette.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 27, 2018, at the St. Louis Church. Family and friends may call at Lajoie-Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent, from 9:30 – 10:45 on the morning of the service.
