Theriault is Northern Maine Medical Center’s Employee of the Quarter

FORT KENT, Maine — Robin Damboise, Northern Maine Medical Center’s director of human resources, recently announced the 2018 second-quarter nomination for NMMC’s Employee of the Quarter recognition program.

Candidates who are nominated for the Employee of the Quarter award must meet rigorous performance requirements in order to be considered by the selection committee. Damboise announced that Shannon Theriault won the nomination for the leadership she demonstrates in excellent patient care and work ethic.

Shannon Theriault, RT(R)(CT)(M), earned an associate degree in radiography from Champlain College in Burlington, Vermont. She is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography, Computed Tomography (CT), and Mammography and also performs bone densitometry.

She began working in the Radiology Department at NMMC in June of 2002. Her nomination describes her as very knowledgeable, a good role model and “always willing to do a little extra,” and speaks highly of her positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Theriault resides in Fort Kent with her husband, CJ, their 8-year-old daughter, Kaylen, and the family dog, Allie. She is involved in her community as an active volunteer in her daughter’s Girl Scout troop. Much of her leisure time aside of family life is focused on health and wellness. She enjoys CrossFit, competitive obstacle courses and running marathons.

The honoree will receive a monetary gift from NMMC and the medical staff for her performance excellence and her photo will be displayed on a plaque in a public place of recognition at the hospital.
