Police arrest, charge Fort Kent man with sexual abuse of minor
FORT KENT, Maine — Police arrested a Fort Kent man on Wednesday and charged him with sexual abuse of a minor.
Sgt. Dalen Boucher of the Fort Kent Police Department investigated a report that Kurtis Dubois, 21, made sexual contact with a female under the age of 15.
The alleged incident occurred in 2017, when Dubois was 21 and the female was 14 years old.
Boucher said that at this point he only charged Dubois with one count of sexual abuse but the investigation continues and further charges may follow.
Dubois posted bail and was released with a condition that he may not have any contact with the alleged victim, who is also a Fort Kent resident.
Dubois is scheduled to appear Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Fort Kent District Court.
