Mack Lavoie (1927—2018)

MADAWASKA, Maine — Mack Lavoie, 91, died peacefully at a Caribou hospital on July 28, 2018, with his daughter, Ida, and son-in-law, Jason, and grandson, Jesse, at his side. He was born in Grand Isle, May 14, 1927, the son of Fred and Lucie (Lagasse) Lavoie. He went to school in Madawaska and retired from Fraser Paper after 40 years of service.

He is survived by his ex-wife, Eva Martin, and one son, Herman and his wife, Lucienne, of Grand Isle, three daughters and their spouses, Bernice and Jim Wray of Cooperstown, PA, Merita ‘Tart’ and Danny Bosse, and Ida and Jason Campagna, both of Madawaska; special grandchildren, Jesse Pelletier, Mark, Melissa, and Jamie Lavoie, Michelle and James Wray; and three great-grandchildren, Evan, and Liam Lagasse, and Jayden Wray; and special friend, Nicole Martin; one brother, Ronald and his wife, Patricia, of St. Agatha, two sisters, Noella Cyr and Clauda Dionne, both of Madawaska; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Edgar, Alderic, Armand, and Therese.

Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha on Wednesday, Aug. 1 from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at the St. David Church and burial in the St. David Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to
