Youngsters raise donations for Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund

CJ Cyr, 5, and Addison True, 2, taste test the product at the lemonade stand they set up July 14 at The Valley Flea Market in Frenchville. The youngsters, with the help of Charlotte Labbe, 5, Claire Labbe, 3, and Natalise Cyr, 2, raised $145.10 to donate to the Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund. The children got the idea from Alexis Berube’s lemonade stand fundraising effort for the same cause in Madawaska earlier this month. The Frenchville children also sold cookies and brownies and issued a challenge to other youngsters in the St. John Valley to create their own roadside stands to sell goods to raise money for the cancer fund.
