‘Toss at the Boss’ to raise Alzheimer’s funds

FORT KENT, Maine — Local residents can wind up their pitching arms July 18 to send someone on a dive in a dunk tank and help an important cause at the same time.

The Forest Hill Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center will host the “Take a Toss at the Boss” dunk tank event on Wednesday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the facility’s parking lot, 25 Bolduc Ave., Fort Kent.

Administrative staff will take their turns in the dunk tank, and for $1 per toss, or $5 to hit the “dunk” button, folks can send them for a splash. Katie Luce of the Alzheimer’s Association’s Maine chapter will also be on hand.

Proceeds will benefit the Forest Hill team’s fund raising and participation in the Sept. 29 Northern Maine Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The crew began work in early spring and has set a goal to raise $35,000 for the walk.
