St. John Valley weather for June 27-July 3, 2018

A high-pressure ridge will bring mostly sunny skies and warm temperatures to the Valley Wednesday. Low pressure tracking from the Great Lakes northwest of the Valley will pull a frontal boundary across the region Thursday with a chance for rain, mainly in the afternoon and evening, that tapers to showers overnight. High pressure will begin to build in Friday, though a chance for evening showers and thunderstorms persists thanks to a secondary front crossing the Valley later in the day.

Partly cloudy/partly sunny skies are expected over the weekend as a very warm and humid air mass takes hold of the Valley Sunday and Monday with daytime temperature near 90°F and dew points in the mid- to upper 60s creating muggy conditions, along with excessive heat advisories possible. Showers and scattered thunderstorms are possible Monday evening and Tuesday as a cold front approaches.
