Rally in the Valley returns on Saturday

FORT KENT, Maine — The popular Rally in the Valley Mountain Bike Festival will return on Saturday to the Fort Kent Outdoor Center.

The sixth annual children’s bicycling event is open to students from Pre-K through Grade 8 and will include two biking tracks, one designed for riders of all ages and one for more experienced bikers, ages 10 and older.

Northern Maine Medical Center sponsors the annual event, which encourages young people to participate in the healthy activity of bicycling.

Registration for Rally in the Valley will take place from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the FKOC, with riding from 10 a.m. until noon.

All participants will receive free gifts and snacks and one lucky youngster, who must be present to qualify, will win a new mountain bike.

There is a $5 fee to register for Rally in the Valley and the event will take place rain or shine.

Participants under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
