Pets of the Week — Friskie & Scamp

PAWS Animal Welfare Shelter presents Friskie (pictured) and Scamp as Pets of the Week in hopes that these little guys will find their forever home together. Scamp was surrendered by an older gentleman in Van Buren because he had to move into assisted living. Friskie, a tabby cat, was rescued from a colony in Grand Isle. Both have been residents of the shelter for a few weeks. Scamp is outgoing, fun and rambunctious, while Friskie is shy, cute and playful — two different characters but they became best friends. Scamp helps Friskie overcome his shyness, and Friskie gives Scamp unconditional love. Both are neutered, up to date on vaccinations and cleared of any parasites. Staff would like to find them a permanent home together. To see them, visit Valley Cat Haven during open hours Saturday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., or Tuesday, 1-3 p.m., or call Jean at (207) 543-7348 for an appointment.
