Work crews take holiday lights off town Christmas tree

FORT KENT, Maine — Members of the Fort Kent Public Works Department used a bucket truck to reach the star atop the town Christmas tree in Monument Square on Tuesday. 

The employees took advantage of mild weather to unravel the lights, which members of the Fort Kent Lions Club purchased and maintain. The effort was well-timed as less than 24 hours later heavy snow would once again fell on Fort Kent.
