AUGUSTA, Maine — Maine Republican Party Chair Demi Kouzounas released the following statement in response to Senate President Mike Thibodeau ending his bid for Maine Governor today.

“Senate President Thibodeau has served two-terms as our Senate President because he sets priorities and looks out for Maine people. His decision today reflects that. We thank him for his continued service and his dedication to working to improve Maine’s economy until his last day in office,” said Dr. Kouzounas.

“The spirit shown by Senator Thibodeau today represents the best Maine Republicans have to offer. Putting top priorities first, and placing the freedom and prosperity of our people ahead of ourselves.”
