St. John Valley weather for March 14-20

A Nor’easter will bring snow in the 8- to 12-inch range with locally higher amounts to much of northern Aroostook Wednesday into Thursday. The low pressure will meander over the Gulf of Saint Lawrence Friday as it slowly lifts northeast, bringing lingering snow showers to an end by Saturday. High pressure south of the Great Lakes brings partly sunny skies Saturday and Sunday.

A fast-moving area of low pressure will move through the region Sunday, producing some snow showers across the Valley that linger into Monday. High pressure south of the Hudson Bay region produces partly sunny to partly cloudy skies Monday and Tuesday. Another coastal low is possible by the middle of next week. Spring begins at 12:15 pm Tuesday, March 20.
