Warriors defeat Owls in Fort Kent

FORT KENT, Maine — The Owls flew in for an early lead but the Warriors quickly found their ground and went on to defeat Madawaska 74-31 during a boys varsity basketball game at Fort Kent Community High School on Monday, Feb. 5.

Warrior Jacob Daigle scored a game high 20 points with fellow Fort Kent starters Camden Jandreau and Caleb Delisle adding 18 and 17 respectively. Six of Jandreau’s points were from three-point territory.

Robbie Lausier led Madawaska with eight points, including two three-pointers, followed by Owls Lance Lavoie and Max Gendreau who each chipped in five.

Derrick Cooper is head coach of the Fort Kent Warriors, who moved to 13-4 with the win. The Warriors final game of the regular season will be against Central Aroostook on Wednesday in Fort Kent.

The Madawaska Owls moved to 10-7 with the loss. Their final game of the regular season under head coach Pete Clavette will take place on Wednesday at Van Buren.
