EDITOR’S NOTE: Since our staff cannot meet with all candidates or cover their campaign events, we have created this site to share candidate press releases and statements with our readers. The items are posted in their words and unedited. The views expressed are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Northeast Publishing.

Friends,

Today, I am thrilled to share some exciting news. In one month, our campaign was able to collect over 2,000 signatures statewide, officially earning our spot on the ballot in June. With help from many of you, we were the first gubernatorial campaign to turn in our nomination papers to the Secretary of State. This is a huge testament to the strength of the grassroots organization we have built, and I want to personally thank everyone who helped make this possible.

We have just begun, and I am excited for the opportunity to share my message of putting Maine First starting with our families. In the coming weeks, we are preparing to turn in our last batch of $5 checks required to qualify as a Maine Clean Elections candidate. We have made great strides, but I need to ask for one last favor to get us over the finish line.

Although you have been amazingly gracious, there are two things that you can do today to help:

1) You can contribute to our effort to qualify as a Maine clean elections candidate with a one-time $5 donation (must be a registered Maine voter).

2) You then can contribute a “seed” money donation of up to $100:

We have just begun and I am excited for the opportunity to share my message of putting Maine First.

Again, thank you for your generosity, hard work and commitment to our effort.

Garrett
