Ruth Irene (Cyr) Brymer (1939-2018)

CROWLEY LAKE, Calif. — Ruth Irene Brymer (born Cyr), 78, of Crowley Lake, CA, passed away at her home with family on January 10, 2018. Ruth was born in Grande Isle, Maine, on September 12, 1939.

She graduated from Van Buren High School and continued on to receive a diploma in Nursing from Hôtel-Dieu d’Edmundston, New Brunswick, Canada. She moved to Santa Monica, CA, in 1963.

Ruth worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Johns Health Care Center for over 35 years. Ruth enjoyed reading and gardening. Ruth was also actively involved in North Venice Little League. Ruth met her husband in Santa Monica and was married to Charles Bennett Brymer on August 21, 1967; they were married for thirty-two and a half years.

Ruth is survived by her son, John Brymer and his wife, Tracy, and her grandchildren, Lillian, Liam, and Lucina of Wales, WI; and her daughter, Colleen Moxley and her husband, Jason, and grandchildren, Kate and Kyle of Crowley Lake, CA; brother, Joel Cyr, Grande Isle, Maine; and sisters, Nancy Halpin, Fullerton, CA; Ella Gatcomb, Eagle Lake, ME; Colette Bouchard, Frenchville, ME; and other family and friends.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brymer, her parents, Laurette Cyr (born Sirois) and Albert Germain Cyr, and her two brothers, Glen Cyr and Paul Cyr.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Grande Isle, Maine, during the summer.
