Alfreda Chamberland (1932—2018)

ST. AGATHA, Maine — Alfreda Chamberland, 85, died peacefully Jan. 1, 2018, at a Madawaska Residential Care. She was born June 29, 1932, in Madawaska, the daughter of Levite and Bertha ‘Cyr’ Hebert.

She was a member of the Ladies of Ste. Anne, and was Mother of the Year and a hostess for Funeral Lunches for 25 years. She is survived by four sons and their wives, Camille and Ursula of Waterville, Harold and Joanne of St. Agatha, Danny and Mona of Nashua, N.H., David and friend, Debbie of Hamden, Ct.; three daughters and their husbands, Judith and David Voisine of Anchorage, AK., Lori and Robert Alland of Levant and Rachel and Kenneth Kellum III of Dallas, Tx.; 14 grandchildren and their wives and husbands, Breton and Christen, Bennett and Dani, Angie, Davey, Matt and Krystal, Mary and Alex, Joy and Gary, Sarah and Tim, Justin, Natasha and friend, Dave, Meagan, Monique, Randy and Jennifer, Jason and friend, Shannon; and 17 great-grandchildren, Aria, Reid, Casey, Andon, Bryce-Ann, Dashiel, Kale, Kaeliya, Kanyon, Alina, Josephine, Lucas, Lily, Kaylen, Caleb, Isaac and Wyatt; one brother, Percy and Constance Hebert of Newington, Ct.; and one sister, Theresa Cote of St. David. She was predeceased by her husband, Reid; 2 sisters, Lillian and Amelia; and 2 brothers, Gerard and Conrad.

Friends and relatives may call at the Michaud Funeral Home in St. Agatha, Friday, Jan. 5 at 8:00 a.m. until 9:45. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Agatha Catholic Church. For those who desire donations may be made to the St. Agatha Restoration or the Edgar Paradis Cancer Fund envelopes available at the Funeral Home.
