Santa installs mailbox to North Pole at Valley Motors

FORT KENT, Maine — A local business with connections to Santa Claus is inviting children to exchange Christmas letters with the jolly old soul and pick out a free toy in the process.

Valley Motors is hosting Santa’s Mailbox, and has added a big red mailbox offering direct delivery to Santa, on the showroom floor. Near the mailbox is a Christmas tree decorated with a variety of miniature cars and trucks. Each child who drops a letter or wish list for Santa in the mailbox is allowed to select one of the cars and trucks to take home for free.

Santa also will write a return letter to each child who writes to him, according to a Valley Motors representative. Valley Motors welcomes all children to visit Santa’s Mailbox, but suggests they do so before Dec. 18-19 at the latest, to ensure that Santa has enough time to read and respond to all the letters before embarking on his worldwide journey of climbing down chimneys and placing presents under Christmas trees on Christmas Eve.

It also is important that children who write letters to Santa via the mailbox at Valley Motors, include their return address so Santa can write back. Santa’s address is:

Santa Claus
325 S. Santa Claus Lane
North Pole, AK  99705
