Police investigating hit and run
FORT KENT, Maine — The Fort Kent Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying the driver of a vehicle that crashed into a residential fence sometime during the late evening on Saturday or early morning hours Sunday.
Officer Michael DeLena is investigating the incident as a hit and run since the the driver left the scene.
The vehicle apparently left the roadway, entered the driveway of a home at 283 Market Street, and crashed into and destroyed a portion of white picket fence, according to Police Chief Tom Pelletier. The driver left the scene without reporting the incident to police.
Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information about the vehicle or driver involved to contact the Fort Kent Police Department at (207) 834-5678.
