St. John Valley weather for Dec. 6-12

A cold front will move through northern Maine Wednesday morning, followed by much colder air changing rain to snow for a period before precipitation ends and skies clear. Partly to mostly cloudy conditions persist Wednesday afternoon through Friday as an upper-level trough moves through the region behind Wednesday’s cold front. A weak front crosses the area Friday into Saturday producing a chance for some snow showers across the Valley. A low offshore Sunday with a trough axis extending back across the state brings another chance for snowfall to the area. Partly to mostly cloudy skies are expected over the area Monday thanks to an approaching frontal system which brings cloudy to mostly cloudy skies and a chance for snow / snow showers to the region Monday into Tuesday.
