Dominic Hachey recalled by the Charlottetown Islanders

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League recalled defenseman Dominic Hachey of the Edmundston Blizzard, a Blizzard spokesperson said Nov. 30 in a press release.

The Islanders (15w, 9l, 1otl) begin a three-game series on Quebec rinks this weekend and are trying to reach the top of the Maritime Division led by the Acadie-Bathurst Titan. Hachey is expected to return to Edmundston after the weekend games.

The geographical positioning of the Edmundston team may be very attracting for the QMJHL teams from the Maritimes who transit to the province of Quebec and who have rights on players like Dominic Hachey, picked during the 6th round by the Islanders at the 2016 QMJHL draft.

In 20 games with the Blizzard of the Maritime Junior Hockey League this season, Hachey has recorded three assists. The Moncton rearguard is best known for his defensive play. He had done well at the Islanders training camp in September before being transferred to the Blizzard.
