Elementary students to celebrate tree lighting with Santa

FRENCHVILLE, Maine — Students from Dr. Levesque Elementary School will join local residents on Thursday for the third annual Christmas Tree Lighting event.

Volunteers decorated the town tree earlier this week. The festive tree, donated by Vern Labbe, is displayed at the Heritage Park gazebo.

Students in kindergarten through grade six will arrive at the park via school bus for the official lighting at 3 p.m.

Following the lighting the students and Santa Claus will go to the Frecheville Community Center for Holiday Carols, hot chocolate, cookies and gifts.
