Ernest N. Pratt (1934—2017)

MADAWASKA, Maine — Ernest N. Pratt, 82, died peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2017, at a Madawaska healthcare facility. He was born on December 25, 1934, in Fall River, MA, a son of the late William and Laura (Labouliere) Pratt.

Ernest served several years with the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a long-time member of the American Legion, Post # 147, Madawaska. He worked over 27 years for Fraser Paper, Madawaska, as first-class pipefitter, until his retirement in 1990. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Elvis songs, and rarely turned down a card game with friends or family. He truly enjoyed his ten years in Florida with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jeanne (Cyr) Pratt of Madawaska; a daughter, Gail Pratt of Notre Dame du Lac, PQ, Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by his son, Ronald Pratt in 1973, a sister, Joan Borden, and a brother, William Pratt.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2017, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Madawaska. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, Nov. 26, 6-8:00 p.m. at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. Spring interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Madawaska.
