Three fire departments respond to garage fire in Clair, NB

CLAIR, New Brunswick — A fire broke out in a garage in Clair, New Brunswick, on Saturday morning sending smoke into the air that was visible from Fort Kent and prompting three fire departments to respond.

At approximately 8:30 a.m. firefighters from Clair, St. Francois and Baker Brook responded to a fire in a garage at Bobby’s Car Wash and Auto Repair at 4359 Route 120 in Clair.
There were no injuries.

Most of the damage appeared to have occurred inside the barn, and first responders on the scene said they had not determined a cause for the fire. The garage housed a tow truck and a boat. The flames destroyed the tow truck.

At least 20 firefighters responded to the fire.
