Weather for Oct. 25-31, 2017
Strong low pressure near the Great Lakes will lift northeast into Canada slowly pulling a cold front towards and across the Valley Wednesday and Thursday with warm southerly flow ahead of the front drawing plenty of moisture into the region. Rainfall totals between one-and-three-quarters and two inches are possible with some locally heavy rainfall producing higher amounts. Rain winds down behind the front early Friday as high pressure building in with skies becoming partly cloudy as the day progresses.
Seasonable weather with partly cloudy skies is on tap for Saturday and Sunday. Clouds increase later Sunday with rain expected across the region Monday ahead of another cold front. Clearing skies and colder weather arrive Tuesday, just in time for Halloween.
