Local police make third drive-through OUI arrest

MADAWASKA, Maine — Police made a third arrest in less than three weeks on Oct 7 involving a driver allegedly using a fast food drive-through window while drunk.

Police charged Chad Michaud, 34, of Madawaska with operating under the influence, after a restaurant employee reported the operator to police, according to Madawaska Police Chief Ross Dubois.

Officer Trevor Bellefleur arrested Michaud in the restaurant parking lot, where he had parked his 1995 Chevy Camaro.

Michaud is scheduled to make an initial court appearance, Nov. 8, at Madawaska district court.
