Madawaska Board of Selectmen meeting October 17

Madawaska Board of Selectmen will hold a meeting on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 4:45 p.m. in the Madawaska Town Office Council Chambers.


Chairman Thibeault will call the meeting to order and establish a quorum.

Article 1   To consider the meeting minutes of September 25, 2017 and the Emergency meeting minutes of October 2, 2017.

Article 2  To consider a period of public participation.

Article 3   To consider adjustments to the agenda.

Article 4   To consider an abatement request for tax account 666 by Leola DCyr.

Article 5    To consider a request by Albert Lizotte to amend the Farmers Market Guidelines to allow the sale of herbal remedies,

Article 6   To consider the approval of a Town Computers & Networks upgrade proposal, and to authorize the transfer of funds from the Town’s Computer Reserve Account and the Capital Equipment purchases account.

Article 7   To consider the release of a tax acquired property by Quitclaim Deed.

Article 8   To consider the Legal opinion from Rudman Winchel in regards to the Town’s Sex Offender Ordinance.

Article 9   To Consider the Appointment of one (1) Selectmen to the Finance Committee,

Article 10   To consider a request by the Madawaska Fire Department Chief James Soucy to purchase 12 new Scott Tanks utilizing funds from the Capital Equipment Fund for replacement of the outdated tanks on the Fire Department Scott Air Packs.

Article 11   To Consider discussion pertaining to personnel matters matters pursuant to Title 1 S 405(6)(A).

Article 12   To consider the Monthly Manager’s Report.
