Renovations at Acadia FCU in St. Agatha

Work, which began Aug. 7, continues on Sept. 19 at the St. Agatha branch of Acadia Federal Credit Union. Renovation plans include a new drive-thru canopy to accommodate large vehicles, a larger and more open lobby, new teller stations and a new conference room. Staff office space also will be reconfigured.

The front entrance will be fully handicap accessible when the work is done, including a ramp and automatic doors. “We will try to keep disruption for our members and our service times to a minimum, although we may have to close on a couple of Saturdays when we begin the work on replacing the teller stations,” Marketing Manager Alison Voisine said. “We will warn members ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.” The work, which is being done by John Beiler / Northwoods Construction, is expected to be completed by mid-October. Acadia FCU is planning to have an open house when the project is complete. Acadia FCU, which is in the process of merging with EMMC Federal Credit Union, has branches in St. Francis, Fort Kent, Madawaska, St. Agatha and Ashland.
