CARIBOU, Maine — On Friday, Sept. 15, local band Star City Syndicate will present a concert at the Caribou Performing Arts Center to benefit the Dahlgren-Skidgel Farm of Hope.

The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The band, comprised of musicians from the Aroostook County area, performs a blend of Motown, classic pop and contemporary music, and features a horn section along with other musicians. Nicole Sponberg, a multiple Dove Award winner, will be a special guest.

The cost of admission is by donation, and all proceeds will go toward the farm, located at the site of the former Phil’s Florist in Caribou, which will provide shelter, food and occupational therapy for homeless veterans.

Star City Syndicate has performed around the area this summer, including concerts for Presque Isle’s Rockin’ on Riverside and the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest. They perform such well-known hits as “Love Train,” “I Heard it Through the Grapevine” and many others.
