Norman G. Martin (1938—2017)

ST. DAVID, Maine — Norman G. Martin, 79, passed away at his home in St. David on September 9, 2017. He was born in Keegan on May 27, 1938, son of the late Gilbert and Rose (Ouellette) Martin. After graduating high school in Madawaska, he enlisted with the United States Army for three years. Upon return from the Army, he worked at Fraser Papers for forty-one years until his retirement in 2000.

He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty-five years, Lucille (Morin) Martin of St. David; two daughters, Michele McPherson and her husband Ralph of Houlton, Erica Albert and her husband Mark of Frenchville; a special niece, Louise Clavette and her husband Maurice of Madawaska; five grandchildren, Danielle Daigle, Joshua Daigle, Emily, Shayna, Macie Albert; one sister, Fernande Dube and her husband Claude of Madawaska; two brothers, Armand Martin of Madawaska, Gerard “Gerry” Martin  of Southington, CT; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by five siblings, Therese, Carmen, Claire, Richard, and Fernand.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the St. David Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences at the church on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 9:45 a.m.
