UMFK seeks parade entries

FORT KENT, Maine – The University of Maine at Fort Kent is accepting entries for the homecoming/scarecrow parade that will take place Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at 11 a.m.

UMFK Homecoming and the Greater Fort Kent Area Chamber of Commerce Scarecrow Festival is set for Friday, Sept. 15 through Sunday, Sept. 17.

The parade will line up at the Fort Kent Courthouse from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m.  At 11 a.m. the parade will wind its way down Market, East Main, West Main, and end up on Pleasant Street.

Plaques will be awarded in several categories, including the most creative, best musical, best non-profit, best business entry, judges’ choice, best “Scarecrows Go to the Movies” theme entry, and best UMFK entry.
