Parking lot expansion taking place at Paradis

FORT KENT, Maine — Crews have been working for about a week on this parking lot extension at the Paradis Shop ‘n Save in Fort Kent.

The extension, which is bordered on the west by Page Avenue, measures about 100 feet by 75 feet and will provide additional parking for supermarket customers as well as customers of three other businesses located in the shopping plaza. Louis Paradis opened the first Paradis Supermarket in Fort Kent in 1948. The family-owned business also operates two other stores in Madawaska and Brewer.
