Marie Claire Sirois

FRENCHVILLE, Maine – Marie Claire Sirois, 88, died peacefully Friday, August 25, 2017, at a Fort Kent hospital, with her loving family at her side. She was born June 21, 1929 in Baker Brook, NB, Canada, a daughter of the late Firmin and Anna (Soucy) Levesque.

Marie Claire was a devoted homemaker and cherished her time doting on her husband and children. She was an avid gardener, sharing her flowers and vegetables with family and friends. She also especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was truly cherished by her children, grandchildren and family, and her nurturing and caring will carry on through the generations; Truly, Marie Claire was an angel on Earth.
She is survived by: five children, Jean Paul Sirois and his wife Catherine of Norton, MA, Leo James Sirois of Fairfield, Joan Sirois-Albert and her husband Roger of Madawaska, Charlene Sirois, and Carl Sirois and his wife Michelle, all of Frenchville; a sister, Lise Morneault of Bangor; eight grandchildren, Sean, Claire, Michael, Kristin, Nicole, Melissa, Andrew and Owen; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Corey and Abigail; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Marie Claire was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Bertrand Sirois, three brothers, O’Neil, Guy and Armand “Bee” Levesque, and three sisters, Cecile Collin, Simone Levesque, and Therese Daigle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Madawaska. Relatives and friends greeted the family Tuesday 6-8:00 p.m. at Lajoie Funeral Home, 114-10th Ave., Madawaska. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. To share condolences online, please visit
