FKOC bringing the brisket at September BBQ

FORT KENT, Maine — Brisket and chili are on the menu for the annual Fort Kent Outdoor Center membership drive on Saturday, September 9.

The event will begin with an introduction to orienteering class at 3 p.m. followed by the meal at 4 p.m.

The Barbecue and Band fundraiser meal will include smoked barbecued beef, chili, a potato bar, corn on the cob, cole slaw, and ploye ice cream sandwiches.

The meal will feature local ingredients from Aroostook Beef Company, Bouchard Family Farms, and James Pelletier Farm.

Local favorite Boomerang will perform from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $15 dollars each.
