Community Fair returning to UMFK
FORT KENT, Maine – The University of Maine at Fort Kent invites the business community and service organizations throughout the Valley to participate in a Community Fair which will bring together students and the community.
The fair is designed to introduce university students to the products and services available in the region. The fair provides an opportunity for the business community and organizations to market themselves to the new and returning UMFK students.
UMFK will provide each participating business or organization free booth space and an eight-foot table.
Representatives from area businesses and organizations connect with students at the fair to provide them with information regarding resources available to them in the community.
UMFK graduate Joe McCloskey represented U.S. Cellular at last year’s community fair. “It’s a great opportunity for students to get involved and learn a little bit about the local businesses and what they do for our community,” he said at the time.
The 2017 Community Fair will take place on Thursday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Cyr Hall.
The deadline for reserving a space is Thursday, September 1. There is no charge to participate.
Businesses and service organizations interested in participating in the Community Fair should contact Vicki Daigle at (207) 834-7513.
